Hospitality for Hope

This October, Blue Turns Pink for a heartfelt cause as we aim to raise $60,000 across all our properties to support breast cancer research and awareness initiatives. Our commitment to our team, their families, our guests, and the communities around us drives our support for those affected by this cause. We have dedicated October to be a month of hope, strength, and support.

During Blue Turns Pink, every dollar raised for the Jack Burbage Regional Cancer Care Center will be matched 100% by an anonymous donor. Additionally, our destinations will be fundraising in support of The Magic Yarn Project and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Blue Water Development proudly extends its support to the Jack Burbage, Jr. Regional Cancer Care Center, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This care center is near and dear to our hearts, as it serves the local community and provides advanced treatment centered on patients and their families, all within the community where our company took root.

This center is named in honor of our founder, Jack Burbage, and stands as a tribute to his exceptional philanthropic and leadership contributions in the battle against cancer.

Community Outreach

Blue Water properties use their own events to help support community partners by collecting food donations, donating proceeds and giving organizations a platform for building awareness.

Non-Profit Organizations

Blue Water partners with local non-profits to provide venues and marketing support for fundraising events. Staff members support community organizations through a United Way giving campaign and the company gives generously to non-profits on the Eastern Shore. Our KOA properties support KOA Care Camps, a non-profit that sends children with cancer to summer camps so they can take a little time out to be a kid again.
